How do I use Paperboy from the command line?
The CLI is coming soon as @paperboyseo/cli. It wraps the REST API, so it will use the same key and the same credits.
Status: coming soon. The CLI is not on npm yet, so the commands below will not run today. The REST API and the MCP server are live and do the same job.
Install and sign in (coming soon)
npx @paperboyseo/cli --help
export PAPERBOY_API_KEY=pb_live_...Commands
| Command | Does |
|---|---|
connect | Save your key, add a site and get the Search Console link |
topics | Show what Paperboy would write next, and why |
write | Start an article and wait for the verdict |
check <url or file> | Fact check any page or draft. Exits 0 on pass, 1 on fail |
publish <article-id> | Publish an article that passed |
status | Credit balance, running articles and Search Console state |
report | Performance for a site |
Every command takes --json for machine output. Flags can differ by version, so run --help.
Use it as a CI gate (coming soon)
npx @paperboyseo/cli check https://staging.example.com/blog/new-post --jsonThe check costs 2 credits and fails the build when the verdict is a fail.
