Paperboy is an AI SEO article writer and publisher by Hive Asset Group, LLC. It researches, writes, fact-checks and publishes articles to your site. Koala is a close alternative: an SEO suite with a writer and one-click publishing. Pick Paperboy for source-checked numbers, Koala for a wider toolset.

Paperboy makes this comparison, and Paperboy is one of the options.

Koala: pick it when it fits better

Koala describes itself as "AI SEO software with an SEO agent that plans from your Search Console data, a writer that drafts on-brand articles, and one-click publishing to your CMS." Its homepage lists an SEO agent with keyword, backlink and SERP data, KoalaWriter with Deep Research and real-time SERP analysis, Brand DNA that learns your business from Google Maps or a website import, KoalaImages and KoalaLinks for automatic internal linking (koala.sh).

The pricing page lists ten plans, from Free up to Scale III. The Free plan has 5,000 words and 25 credits a month, and every new account gets the same with no credit card required. Paid plans raise the word and credit allowances, and Professional adds an article editor with SEO scoring and Deep Research. Content Calendar Autopilot is listed from the Boost plan up. Integrations are "WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Ghost and more, plus webhooks for Zapier and Make" (koala.sh/pricing).

Pick it if you want an SEO agent, images, internal linking and a writer under one login, and you like to start on a free plan.

Limit: the pages we read do not list a fact check step or languages (koala.sh, koala.sh/pricing). Plans are measured in words and credits, so compare your monthly volume against each tier.

Paperboy

Paperboy "researches, writes, fact-checks and publishes SEO articles to your own website." Your first article is free with no credit card, and you see the finished article before you pick a plan. You can approve each article first or leave it on autopilot (paperboyseo.com).

Pick it if you want finished posts published on a schedule, with each number checked against a linked source and held when it fails, from $49 a month (paperboyseo.com).

Limit: it writes SEO blog articles only, with no image tool, chat assistant or other content types listed. Shopify, Wix and Webflow publishing are coming soon. A backlink service and an AI search tracker are not listed. Search Console is an optional connection that sharpens topic picks (paperboyseo.com). Languages are not listed on the page we read.

Outrank

Outrank lists "30 SEO-optimized articles per month" for $99 a month, with automated backlink building and 150+ languages (outrank.so/pricing, price per Paperboy's October 4, 2026 snapshot). See our Outrank alternatives page.

Pick it if you want 30 articles, backlinks and 150+ languages in one plan. Limit: a fact check is not listed for the $99 plan.

RankYak

RankYak says it "finds the keywords, writes the articles, builds the backlinks, and publishes to your site." It has one plan with 30 articles (1 per day) (rankyak.com, rankyak.com/pricing). See our RankYak alternatives page.

Pick it if you want a daily article in one flat plan. Limit: the pages do not describe what its fact check compares.

SEObot

SEObot says "subscriptions start at $49/mo" and lists "100% autopilot by default" publishing and a fact checking system with citation of sources (seobotai.com).

Pick it if you want a low entry price with a listed fact check. Limit: no monthly article count is listed.

RightBlogger

RightBlogger lists Solo at $49 a month billed annually (rightblogger.com/pricing). Its homepage lists "Auto-published to your blog" (rightblogger.com).

Pick it if you want social sharing with your posts. Limit: a fact check is not listed on the pricing page.

What a fact check compares

"Fact-checked" can mean different things, so ask each tool what it compares.

Paperboy's check works like this (paperboyseo.com):

  • Every number in the article must appear in the source it links to.
  • Every cited sentence is compared with that source's own words.
  • If anything fails, the article gets one rewrite.
  • If it still fails, it is held for you instead of being published.

That is a check against the source text. It does not tell you whether the source itself is right. Koala mentions Deep Research and cited sources (koala.sh). SEObot and RankYak do not describe their method either. Check names and numbers yourself.

How to choose

  • Want an SEO agent, images and internal linking with your writer: Koala.
  • Want posts researched, written and published for you: Paperboy, Outrank, RankYak, SEObot or RightBlogger.
  • Want a fact check that states what it compares: Paperboy.
  • Want 150+ languages: Outrank.
  • Want to test first: Koala lists a Free plan with no credit card required, and Paperboy's first article is free with no credit card.

Read the first three articles before you let any tool run. For a wider view, see our AI SEO autopilot tools compared, and if you are weighing a general marketing writer instead, our Jasper alternatives page covers that.

Do you need AI search tracking?

An AI search tracker is not listed on paperboyseo.com. Our sibling site PickCheck offers a "Free AI visibility check for local businesses," so you can check whether AI names your business. No tool can promise that AI answers will mention you.
