Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Hive Asset Group, LLC ("we", "us"), which operates Paperboy. By creating an account or using Paperboy, you agree to them. If you use Paperboy for a company, you agree on its behalf.

The service

Paperboy picks topics for your website, researches and writes articles with AI models, checks them against their sources, publishes them through the method you choose, and reports on their performance. Features marked "Coming soon" are not part of the service until they launch.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 and give a real email address. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for activity in your account.
• One free article per person and per website. Creating extra accounts to get more free articles is not allowed.
• You may only add websites you own or are authorized to manage, and only connect Search Console properties and publishing accounts you are allowed to use.

Plans, billing and cancellation

• Plans are billed per website, monthly or yearly, in advance, through Stripe. Prices are shown on our pricing page and in the app. Every website after the first one on your account gets the extra-site discount shown in the app and at checkout.
• Upgrades and downgrades take effect right away and are prorated on your next invoice.
• You can cancel any time from the Billing page. Cancellation stops renewal; articles keep publishing until the end of the period you paid for. We do not give refunds for partial periods unless the law requires it.
• The number of articles in a plan is a weekly maximum. An article held for your review, or stopped by the quality or cost limits, still counts toward that week.
• If a payment fails we will email you; the plan pauses if it is not resolved.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal after the notice.

Your content

• The articles written for your website are yours. We claim no ownership of them. You give us the right to store, process and publish them as needed to run the service, and to show anonymized performance figures in aggregate.
• You are responsible for what is published on your website, including in autopilot mode. We check every article against its sources, but AI writing can still contain mistakes. If accuracy matters for your field (for example legal, medical or financial topics), use Approve first mode and read each article.
• You must not use Paperboy to publish content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, or that violates search engine spam policies, or to make claims about products that you cannot support.

Third-party services

Paperboy works with services such as Google Search Console, WordPress, Ghost, Stripe and your domain's DNS. Their terms apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for changes or outages in those services, or for search engine rankings, which we do not control.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access other customers' data, probe or overload the service, resell it without our written permission, or use it to build a competing product from its output.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice where reasonable. You can close your account at any time by deleting your websites and emailing us. On closing, we delete your data as described in the privacy policy.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is". We do not promise any level of search traffic, ranking, or mentions in AI assistants. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Hive Asset Group, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Paperboy after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Hive Asset Group, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict of law rules.
