Paperboy for Raycast AI
Raycast AI Chat can pull your Search Console numbers and draft the next article from a single @paperboy question.
Set up
You will add Paperboy with the Install MCP Server command, choosing the HTTP transport and an Authorization request header.
In Paperboy, open Settings and create an API key. It starts with pb_live_.
Open Raycast and search for the Install MCP Server command.
Fill in the form: a name such as paperboy, the HTTP transport, the URL https://paperboyseo.com/mcp, and one HTTP header named Authorization with the value Bearer pb_live_YOUR_KEY.
Leave the OAuth fields empty, because Paperboy uses a bearer key, and save the server.
Open AI Chat, type @ and the server name, and ask it to call get_sites.
Name: paperboy
Transport: HTTP
URL: https://paperboyseo.com/mcp
HTTP Headers:
Authorization: Bearer pb_live_YOUR_KEYReplace pb_live_YOUR_KEY with a key from Settings, API keys, and never commit it. The MCP docs list every client we cover.
How to tell it worked
Search for Manage MCP Servers in Raycast. It shows each installed server as Running, Stopped or Error, with its tool list and full output in the details pane. Check that paperboy is Running and lists the eight Paperboy tools.
How to remove it
Open Manage MCP Servers, select paperboy and use its actions to stop or remove it.
What you get
Eight tools, the same engine as the dashboard. Reads are free. A pack is $20 for 100 credits; see how credits work.
get_sitesLists your sites with plan, publishing method and whether Search Console is connected. Every other call starts from a site id.
suggest_topicsReturns the next articles to write, each with the search data that is the reason for it.
write_articleStarts a fact-checked article and returns an id at once. The run takes a few minutes. It does not publish unless you pass publish: true.
get_articleReturns the article's status, its fact-check verdict and every source. Poll it after write_article until it reads published or needs_review.
check_claimsFact checks any public URL or pasted Markdown and returns each cited claim with the sources it was compared against.
publish_articlePublishes an article that passed the fact check to the site's publishing target. It changes the live site, so the agent should ask first.
get_performanceSearch Console clicks, impressions and average position for a site, by day and by article.
get_queriesThe queries a site, or one article, appears for in Search Console. This is where page-two keywords show up.
Try it
Plain requests. The tools each one uses are listed under it.

Why
Raycast adds MCP servers through a form rather than a config file. Pick the HTTP transport, enter the Paperboy URL and add the Authorization header in the HTTP Headers field. Leave OAuth empty, since Paperboy has no OAuth yet. The docs mark MCP as a Pro feature.
Each server gets an @ name, so you can type @paperboy in AI Chat or Quick AI and keep the question on its tools. Raycast uses its Permissions setting for MCP tools, so check what it asks before write_article and publish_article run. Manage MCP Servers shows Running, Stopped or Error.

Honest notes
Quirks of this client that can cost you an afternoon.
The docs mark MCP as a Pro exclusive feature, so a free plan will not show it.
By default Raycast approves read-only tools by itself and asks you about the rest, using the same Permissions setting as AI Extensions. Check what it asks before write_article and publish_article run.
Paperboy does not offer OAuth yet, so leave OAuth empty and use the HTTP Headers field.
Mention the server with @ in AI Chat or Quick AI so the model scopes the question to Paperboy's tools.
FAQ
Yes. The Install MCP Server form has an HTTP transport with a URL field and an HTTP Headers field of key and value pairs sent on every request.
The docs mark the feature as Pro exclusive and give no further tier detail.
Type @ followed by the server name, for example @paperboy, and ask your question. Each installed server also gets an Ask command in Root Search.
Open Manage MCP Servers. It shows Running, Stopped or Error for each server, with its tools and output.
The tools that read cost nothing. Suggesting topics costs 1 credit, writing a fact-checked article costs 12 credits (refunded if the run fails) and a fact check on its own costs 2 credits. A pack is $20 for 100 credits.
Only if you let it. write_article defaults to publish: false, so a finished article waits for a human, and the tool descriptions tell the agent to ask before publishing. You can also give the agent a read-only key.
