Paperboy for Langflow
Give a Langflow agent Paperboy's tools so a flow can research, draft and fact check SEO articles.
Set up
You will add an MCP Tools component to a flow, add Paperboy in HTTP/SSE mode, and enter the Authorization header.
In Paperboy, open Settings and create an API key. It starts with pb_live_.
In Langflow, add an MCP Tools component to your flow.
Click Add MCP Server and select HTTP/SSE.
Enter Paperboy as the Name and https://paperboyseo.com/mcp as the URL.
In the Headers fields add the key Authorization with the value Bearer pb_live_YOUR_KEY.
Save, select the server in the component, and connect its tools to an Agent.
Run the flow and ask the agent to call get_sites.
Name: Paperboy
URL: https://paperboyseo.com/mcp
Headers:
key: Authorization
value: Bearer pb_live_YOUR_KEYReplace pb_live_YOUR_KEY with a key from Settings, API keys, and never commit it. The MCP docs list every client we cover.
How to tell it worked
After saving, the MCP Tools component should list the Paperboy tools. Run the flow and call get_sites.
How to remove it
Open the MCP Tools component's server list and delete the Paperboy server, or remove the component from the flow.
What you get
Eight tools, the same engine as the dashboard. Reads are free. A pack is $20 for 100 credits; see how credits work.
get_sitesLists your sites with plan, publishing method and whether Search Console is connected. Every other call starts from a site id.
suggest_topicsReturns the next articles to write, each with the search data that is the reason for it.
write_articleStarts a fact-checked article and returns an id at once. The run takes a few minutes. It does not publish unless you pass publish: true.
get_articleReturns the article's status, its fact-check verdict and every source. Poll it after write_article until it reads published or needs_review.
check_claimsFact checks any public URL or pasted Markdown and returns each cited claim with the sources it was compared against.
publish_articlePublishes an article that passed the fact check to the site's publishing target. It changes the live site, so the agent should ask first.
get_performanceSearch Console clicks, impressions and average position for a site, by day and by article.
get_queriesThe queries a site, or one article, appears for in Search Console. This is where page-two keywords show up.

Why
Langflow acts as an MCP client through its MCP Tools component. You click Add MCP Server, choose HTTP/SSE, enter the URL and add headers as key and value pairs. Paperboy needs the endpoint and one Authorization header.
Langflow tries streamable HTTP first and falls back to SSE. Header values can also name a global variable, which keeps the key out of the flow. Connect the component to an Agent so the Paperboy tools are callable.

Honest notes
Quirks of this client that can cost you an afternoon.
The docs say a header value that matches a global variable name is replaced by that variable, so you can store the key as a global variable and enter its name as the value.
All tools available from the targeted server are exposed to the flow.
Langflow also has a JSON connection type, but the fetched docs only describe it as pasting a server JSON object, so the form is used here.
FAQ
Yes. The docs describe HTTP/SSE mode with a URL and Headers key-value fields.
The docs say you can use a global variable by entering its name as the header value.
The docs say streamable HTTP with SSE as a fallback.
Yes. The docs say HTTP/SSE mode takes your own server's URL and that external, non-Langflow MCP servers can be used.
The tools that read cost nothing. Suggesting topics costs 1 credit, writing a fact-checked article costs 12 credits (refunded if the run fails) and a fact check on its own costs 2 credits. A pack is $20 for 100 credits.
Only if you let it. write_article defaults to publish: false, so a finished article waits for a human, and the tool descriptions tell the agent to ask before publishing. You can also give the agent a read-only key.
