WooRank lists website reviews, a site crawl, keyword tracking and white-label reports, and its pricing page data lists Pro at $89.99 a month and Premium at $199.99 a month (woorank.com, read October 29, 2026). If you want those jobs done by another tool, the three below cover the audit and crawl part; none of them covers all of WooRank. Paperboy is a different kind of tool, and it is the one making this comparison.

Last updated October 29, 2026

Paperboy is an AI SEO article writer and publisher by Hive Asset Group, LLC. It researches, writes, fact-checks and publishes articles to your own website. It does not audit, crawl or track rankings, so it is not a like-for-like WooRank replacement. It sits next to an audit tool, not in its place.

What is WooRank, and what does it cost?

WooRank is an SEO audit and monitoring tool. Its own pages describe four jobs we can quote:

  • Website reviews: "Get an instant overview of how well your website scores based on SEO best practices" (woorank.com).
  • Site crawl: "Audit and Crawl thousands of pages to discover SEO issues impacting your website visibility" and "Schedule automated web crawls to diagnose issues as new content and pages are added to your site" (woorank.com).
  • Keyword tracking: "Track your keyword rankings against your competitors for a simple way to view your long-term SEO success" (woorank.com).
  • Reports and leads: its menu lists White-label Reports and a Lead Generation Tool, and its website reviews page lists downloadable reports: "Present your website score and metrics to clients or colleagues with the click of a button" (woorank.com). The menu items come from the homepage (woorank.com).

The pricing page renders its plans with JavaScript, so we could not see it as a visitor does. The plan data embedded in the page's source lists, in US dollars, a Pro licence at $89.99 a month or $639 a year (unlimited website reviews and work on 1 project) and a Premium licence at $199.99 a month or $1,599 a year (unlimited website reviews, unlimited branded PDF and work on 5 projects) (woorank.com/en/p/pricing, read October 29, 2026). The page you see may show different figures by country, currency or date, so confirm there. The header also shows a Free Trial button; we did not find the trial length on the pages we read.

What are the alternatives to WooRank?

"Not listed" means we did not find it on the pages we read. It is not proof the feature is missing. Every row is linked to the vendor's own page, read October 29, 2026.

ToolDoes the audit or crawl jobPrice as listedDoes not do (from what we read)
Google Search ConsoleShows how Google crawls, indexes and shows your site, and lets you request re-indexing (Google)"A free service offered by Google" (Google)No SEO score, no white-label reports, no tracking of competitors
Ahrefs Free (formerly Webmaster Tools)Site Audit "scans your website for 170+ common technical & on-page SEO issues" for your verified websites (ahrefs.com)Free for verified sites; paid plans are on its pricing page (ahrefs.com)White-label reports not listed on that page
Screaming Frog SEO SpiderA desktop crawler: "free, however you can purchase a licence to crawl more than 500 URLs" (screamingfrog.co.uk)Free up to 500 URLs; $279 per licence per year for 1 to 4 licences (screamingfrog.co.uk)Keyword rank tracking not listed on its pricing page
Paperboy (ours)Not an audit tool. Writes and publishes new articles. A free checker covers AI crawler access and a few basicsStarter $49 a month for 3 articles a week, Growth $99 for 1 a day, Pro $179 for 2 a day, per site (paperboyseo.com)No crawl, no site score, no rank tracking, no client reports

None of the first three lists keyword rank tracking against competitors or white-label reports on the pages we read, which are two things WooRank advertises. If you need those, compare WooRank with a rank tracker and a reporting tool before you leave it.

When should I pick each one?

  • Pick Google Search Console if you want to know what Google sees on your site and it costs nothing. Everyone with a site should have it.
  • Pick Ahrefs Free if you want a technical and on-page issue list with a health score for sites you can verify, without paying (ahrefs.com).
  • Pick Screaming Frog if you want to crawl a site on your own machine and the site is under 500 URLs, or you will pay for a licence for more (screamingfrog.co.uk).
  • Keep WooRank if the score, the scheduled crawls, the keyword tracking and the white-label reports together are what you use it for.
  • Add Paperboy if the audit already told you what pages are missing and nobody has time to write them. An audit finds gaps; someone still has to write the pages that fill them.

Where does Paperboy fit?

Paperboy writes one article at a time on a schedule, checks every number against the source it links to, compares each cited sentence with the source's words, and holds an article for you if it still fails after one rewrite. You can approve each article before it goes live. It publishes to WordPress and Ghost directly, and to other sites through a hosted blog, a webhook or a prompt; see the platform pages. Your first article is free with no credit card (paperboyseo.com).

Limit: Paperboy writes blog articles and nothing else. No tool can promise rankings, traffic or AI citations.

You can run Paperboy's free AI visibility checker first. Its page says: "Paste your address. In about ten seconds you see whether Google, Bing, ChatGPT search, Perplexity and Claude are allowed to read it." It is a small check, not a full audit. For content tools only, see AI blog writer alternatives and autoblogging.

How we checked

We read the woorank.com, ahrefs.com, screamingfrog.co.uk and Google pages linked above on October 29, 2026. WooRank's price figures come from plan data inside the pricing page's source, because the page itself needs JavaScript to show them. Vendors change pages, so confirm on theirs. If we got something wrong, tell us at hello@paperboyseo.com and we will correct this page.

Frequently asked questions

What is WooRank?

WooRank is an SEO audit and monitoring tool. Its pages list website reviews, a site crawl, keyword tracking and white-label reports (woorank.com, read October 29, 2026).

What are the best free alternatives to WooRank?

Google Search Console is free and shows how Google crawls and indexes your site. Ahrefs Free includes a Site Audit for verified sites, and Screaming Frog's SEO Spider is free up to 500 URLs. None of the three lists rank tracking against competitors or white-label reports on the pages we read.

How much does WooRank cost?

The plan data in the source of WooRank's pricing page lists Pro at $89.99 a month or $639 a year and Premium at $199.99 a month or $1,599 a year, in US dollars, as read on October 29, 2026. The page renders prices with JavaScript, so confirm on woorank.com.

Is Paperboy a WooRank alternative?

Only for a different part of the job. WooRank audits and monitors a site. Paperboy writes, fact-checks and publishes articles, and does not audit, crawl or track rankings.

Can I use WooRank and Paperboy together?

Yes. They do different jobs. An audit can point to gaps, and Paperboy can write articles to fill them on a schedule.
